I joined Murphy Roche as an adult. I picked up my violin after 30 years, having played classical through college. I cannot express how amazing it has been to be part of this group. I have recaptured my love of music, learned more about my Irish heritage, made new friends of all ages, and enjoyed a whole new dimension of my life. If you have desire to return to music after years of being gone or of starting fresh as an adult, take the risk. It is one of the best things I have ever done in my life because Murphy Roche is an outstanding, talented, professional, and FUN organization 🎻🎶

Murphy Roche provides a fine resource for the young musician as well as the adult who is interested in exploring the world of Irish music. I am a guitarist who was recently inspired to learn the tenor banjo. Its been a great experience learning a new instrument in an extremely supportive environment.

Very unique music school that offers a lot of opportunities to perform the Irish music through weekly sessions and variety of concerts. Very warm atmosphere. My daughter loves the interaction with other young musicians during her weekly lessons.

lessons are individual for half an hour each, but most students come and spend all day playing music and having fun. The Chole's are more than instructors to the kids, they become part of there family. My child started lessons at the age of 4 and after 7 years still can't wait to get to lessons every saturday!!

Great way to introduce my 3rd generation grandchildren to our Irish heritiage. Introductory complimentary lesson; Adjustable weekly scheduling; Kids of all ages meeting, learning Irish tunes and eventually performing together at local venues; convenience of paying weekly by the lesson; Very positive but accountable teaching style!

The toe-tapping spirited music of Ireland comes alive in the home of the founders of the Murphy Roche School of Irish Music. The atmosphere is very welcoming and you feel a sense of community while learning all aspects of the Irish music culture. The students learn how to play by ear by watching videos on their website and by recording their teacher playing the tune or technique introduced during the lesson and practicing with it throughout the week. The students also reinforce their learning by teaching it their fellow student(s). My eight-year-old daughter has been attending for the past year and a half and has this to share with you...'I love playing music with my friends and learning new tunes - reels, jigs, slip jigs and polkas - every Saturday. I also love that I've learned how to sing a few songs in Gaelic.

I have been taking lessons here for three years and it has been one of the best experiences of my life. The teachers are amazingly talented and the students supportive and encouraging.

I wanted to increase my repertoire with some common session tunes so I had some lessons with Mike Chole. Although we play different instruments I had a lot of fun and learned a lot at a very reasonable price with no long term commitment.

This school of music is great for anyone, at any level, who enjoys music and is looking for a new way to experience it. The home is more then welcoming and the students and teachers there really care about everyone's improvement and enjoyment. Highly recommended.

I have been a student at Murphy Roche since 2011 and the whole time has been an amazing experience. The teachers are talented musicians who really go above and beyond for their students, and adapt to each individual's needs. I've made so many new friends, and met people from many different countries through the experiences that Murphy Roche provides. I have really grown both as a musician and as a person in the last few years thanks to the Murphy Roche "family"
